CHAPTER 1

forward

« BACK TO PORTFOLIO

Batson-Cook, builds more than high-quality buildings, they build relationships. This way of doing business has positioned them as a leader in the construction industry in the southeastern United States for more than 93 years.

Batson-Cook has successfully integrated this history of proven experience with today’s business principles of commitment to clients and community, state-of-the-art technology, and resourceful people who recognize the importance of integrity and hard work.

Pre-Greenhouse they had a super nice newsletter but at a super expensive price. They still wanted to create this magazine-esque newsletter yet marketing dollars were significantly squeezed, so we saw both a challenge and an opportunity. We needed to not only elevate the design of their biannual newsletter BUILD, but also create and produce it within a much slimmer budget. Ta da!

CHAPTER 2

the solution

Our first shot at this piece won them the 2009 American Graphic Design Award, so needless to say we became fast friends. Not to toot our own horn, but toot toot. We were given lots of copy, lot of photography, and only 12 pages to make it all beautiful and engaging. Because of our creative print work and dedication to this project for Batson we’ve built this relationship while helping Batson build theirs with key clients. We continue to engage in project work with them quarter over quarter and are about to publish their company overview piece and their Spring/Summer BUILD in 2Q10. Stay tuned.

Inspired Design.

They have such great photography and an appreciation for great design, it was really an inspired print project for me and every newsletter edition I try and out design myself.

Cheers!

Built this relationship over many conference calls, design review sessions and a few quality happy hours.

Engaging

A beautiful piece that showcases a company's portfolio, rich history and community involvement. We look forward to creating many more.
